How does Self-Pointer deal with the Corona crisis?
At a time when circumstances are changing dramatically for everyone and physical and mental health are particularly important, we are facing measures that make it a challenge to keep you well. Below you can see what Self Hand you can offer during the Corona crisis. The current directives are valid until 6 April. How it will run next is still unclear, but will be communicated via this page as soon as it is known.
Physical appointments only in urgent cases on referral from the general practitioner
Self-pointer follows the government's guidelines for contact professions in the paramedicsector, including physiotherapy. This means that face-to-face consultations are not currently possible, with an exception for clients who urgently need help, but only if they have a written referral and statement from their doctor. In that case, and only when client and practitioner are free of symptoms that might fit with Corona/Covid 19, a consultation can take place. This will then apply to stricter and strict hygiene rules.
Online consultations via video calling or phone
In order to approach the consultations that normally take place at SelfHand as much as possible in an online setting I offer consultations via video calling. These consultations are for the normal combination of acupuncture, psychology, herbs and supplementation and also for talking only – psychology. During the acupuncture consultations I show you which acupuncture points you can massage yourself and I give you exercises (on video) that can be specific to your complaints helping. Extra attention is paid to strengthening the immune system and the condition of the lungs. Check here for more information.
The psychology consultenare more like what they would be in a face-to-face setting. After all, you can talk online as well. Also in these discussions there is the possibility to ask health questions whether or not in the light of the current crisis and to pay attention to the immune system, but they do not contain the element of acupressure and exercises such as a acupuncture consultation. Online consultations currently have a reduced rate of 55 Euro.
